Poll: What is your favorite Ballroom dance?

I went for the waltz because its nice and slow with fairl easy footwork. I also love the tango but cant do the steps well and the quickstep too. Hard decision!

I voted for the tango because I'm not really a fan of ballroom, and the tango has a latin feel to it.

Sam, does Paul Killick teach you ballroom too?

Not really but he told me that he intends to teach me some soon. But he said he wouldn't make it too traditional by adding latin elements in it to liven it up so i dont think it will be strict ballroom technique but just a bit to get some basics. A lot of teachers try to just teach the one they compete as. Erin said that she mainly teaches ballroom and not much latin.

There are other teachers at the studio (PKD) who teach ballroom though, so they can teach me that if i want, but Paul mainly teaches latin.

I've voted Tango because I've never tried dancing ballroom so can only go on what I enjoy watching. If I were dancing, I think I'd pick the Waltz, because it doesn't look too hard so there is room to enjoy it instead of just concentrating on getting it right.

i went with tango because its so intense and passionate. i love dances like this which is why paso is also a favourite of mine (along with samba)

I voted for the tango becuase i love the passion in it, in the same way that i love the rumba, my second choice would be the quickstep as it is so energetic.

Well I voted Foxtrot not quite sure why its the one I like to watch the most

However, I will probz completely change my mind when I start dancing!!!! *on Saturday may I add!*

I said Foxtrot, just because I had a feeling not many people would vote for it!! I think they're all cool though, especially when Anton & Erin dance them!!

I think I prefer Ballroom to Latin anyway!! It suprised me when I realised only 4/13 SCD proffesionals are ballroom dancers!

Quickstep - fave because it is so quick and energetic and the couples look like they're having so much fun as they tend to naturally smile all the time, esp like watching the professionals do it when they 'leap' and jump.

Least fav - paso, don't like the drama and it just seems like poncing around and a bit operaish. Each to their own I suppose.

hehe not sure the professionals would like to hear that lol!! Although i have to say there was a bit of poncing around when Julian did the paso (or should I say Carlos?)!

I voted for the Waltz, although I am surprised that the Tango seems to be top.

I just love the softness and the romance that goes with the Waltz.

However as I have only ever seen this dance in the SCD competition I have nothing to compare it to and hence I am of course going on Natasha and Brendan's performance.

The waltz is the only dance I have actually done myself - to be honest I find it a little boring although I have nothing to compare it to at the moment!

I chose the Tango, I love the Drama of the dance plus the musics always quite dramatic if that makes any sense?

Quickstep. I love it's fast pace and liveliness (If that's a word )

The Waltz is lovely though..as is the Foxtrot. It really depends what mood i'm in!

I love dancing the quickstep,it feel great gliding across the floor so quickly.Also love dancing the waltz,and i love watching the tango but i feel its quite a hard dance to fathom.Love the passion in it though.

Foxtrot is also beautiful,along with the V.Waltz-so they're all great for different reasons.
