BOARD CLOSURE - NOT HAPPENING!!!!

After much thought and consideration, I regret to announce that due to heavy work commitment and my own personal dance commitments - I can no longer find enough time in my schedule to successfully run this board. Also with the loss of a moderator - I find that i need to be spending more time than I am able to find administering this board.


Therefore I regret to inform all members that I will be closing the board as of Midnight Monday 6th February.


If any of you would like to take on the board - ownership, administration - everything, please contact me edited

I am sorry that the board  is closing. I hope someone will have time to keep this board going. I wish I could do it but I  study at uni and hold a job as as well. and I don't a clue how keep up a board like this. we will miss it a lot


is it diffucult to keep up a board??

I don't know what to say but I'm not totally surprised.  I'm really sad it's closing but the board has evolved and little of it is devoted to SCD anymore anyway which was it's original intention.


I fully understand your reasons Victoria, to run and moderate a board properly is a mammoth task and you have done the job admirably and it has been a success. 


Good luck for the future and thank you for keeping the board going for so long as you have.

I really hope that some1 takes over the board. It will be terrible if it closes. I have made loads of friends in here and all are really nice. I havnt been on here very long but every1 has been so friendly rite from the start and hopefully we can still keep in touch.

I can't believe that the board is going to close. I'm so sad. It's provided us all with an outlet in which to share our SCD obsession with fellow devotees. I'll really miss it and not sure how I'll survive without it! It has grown massively in the last few months and so understand the reasons behind it's closure. I just want to thank admin for all her hard work and for creating the board in the first place, without which we would never have made so many great friends. It's been nice knowing you all and sharing our opinions on SCD.

i have to agree i have made some great friends on the boards and really hope we can keep in touch, it's also the only discussion board i have felt comfortable and just wanted to say thank you. I no alot of Hard work has been put into the boards and again thank you for that

I'm really upset that it is closing. I love this forum and we have all made some great friends. Do you mean it will be closing midnight as in sunday going into monday or monday midnight going into tuesday?

I think it will be closing sunday going onto monday, as tomorrow is the 6th and it says midnight monday 6th.

Im really shocked that the board is closing and it may sound a bit sad but I will miss it a lot. Hope some of us can keep in touch because i don't have any friends who share the same interest as me in strictly come dancing,dancing in general and of course the one and only Brendan Cole I'd just like to say thank you to everyone for providing me with so much enjoyment over the past couple of months.Lets hope we can all keep our passion for dancing alive.

OMG I'm really shocked and actually quite upset


I know compared to alot of you I'm really still a new person on here but I've really come to love it over the past couple of months, however I do understand that it must be such a big task to run a board

This is really sad admin, but I appreciate the time and effort you have put in and understand how it has grown too big to fit in when you have a dancers life to live.

Would it be possible to leave the site as a read only site because there is a lot of information and fun on here that wil be lost to us from Monday. If that is not possible any chance of giving us a few days grace to take information with us?

As I said b4 it is a sad day 4 the boards. Im listening 2 the Dirty Dancing soundtrack and I just wanna say that this boards is 'Some kind of wonderful' and that 'Ive had the time of my life' I was just listening 2 Some kind of wonderful and it really sums up these board!

I agree with Haze,it would be great if it could still be a read only type of board where we could still read all of the posts,because there are a lot of topics that I still havent had the chance in reading and I would love to be able to look back on all of the posts.


Thanks admin for a great message board,its been great to meet people with the same interests as me.

I am shocked and stunned!!! I really hope someone takes it over.  I know there isn't much being discussed that is about SCD at the minute but as soon as SDF and SCD3 comes that will change! Hopefully someone will take it on!

Hey there everybody - i won't be leaving the board - i will still be visiting and posting as "Victoria" so i will still be around - i just won't be running the board or doing all the admin etc - which is what i don't have enough time for.
